Canada rebound after poor start

Superb wicket keeping by local Manitoban Sarbjot Singh helped Canada recover after a slow start at the ICC Americas U15 Northern Division Championship

Day three of the ICC Americas U15 Northern Division Championship saw Canada and Bermuda match up.  Canada won the toss and elected to bat. Canada scored at a decent run rate of just over 4 runs but was also losing wickets at the same pace until a 40 runs stand for the fifth wicket between Abrash Khan and Prushath Senathirajah. Senathirajah contributed 24 runs from 31 balls. Khan continued on with Miraj Patel for the seventh wicket stand of 74 runs before being caught out for 77 runs off 69 balls. Patel contributed 24 runs to Canada?s total of 207 for 9 wickets in 40 overs.

In reply Bermuda struggled to score runs in the scorching Prairie heat and Alex Dore with 25 runs was the only Bermudan who managed any resistance as they were all out for 107 runs in 28 overs. The Canadian bowling attack was brilliantly supported by wicket keeper Sarbjot Singh who took 5 superb catches to dismiss the top order of the Bermuda batting line up.
