History

The Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) was established in 1938 and incorporated in 1995. The BCB has been an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1966. The BCB formulates the laws and rules governing cricket in Bermuda in accordance with ICC guidelines. Our objectives are to expand participation in domestic cricket, in particular in our youth and womens leagues; raise the standard of qualification and accreditation for officials and coaches; to qualify for the 2011 World Cup at the 2009 Cricket World Cup Qualifier; to establish infrastructure that will sustain the organisations growth and be recognised as an international model of best practice among the Associate Members of the ICC. In addition, the BCB promotes ethical behaviour throughout the sport and builds stronger stakeholders through continuous improvement.

Mission

The BCBs mission is to govern, promote and develop the playing of cricket in Bermuda; protecting and enhancing its unique spirit and the cultural traditions of the game, with particular reference to sportsmanship and conduct. To seek affiliation with or recognition from similar cricket controlling bodies throughout the world.

Vision

The BCBs vision is to be the "Sport of Choice" in Bermuda. As a National Sport, cricket will captivate and inspire people of every age, gender, background and ability.
