National Team Program Update
The Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB), in conjunction with National Coach David Moore and National Team Head Coach Arnold Manders, has developed a thorough and vigorous preparation plan leading up to the following events: - ICC Regional T20 qualifying event to be held in Fort Lauderdale between the 18 - 22 March - ICC World Cricket League Division 3 tournament to be held in Bermuda between the 28 April - 5 May.

Barbados Training Team Announced
The training team selected for the Barbados tour is as follows: Rodney Trott capt. Janeiro Tucker vc, Jason Anderson, Jekon Edness, Treadwell Gibbons, Dennico Hollis, Samuel Robinson, Jacobi Robinson, Dion Stovell, Kamau Leverock, Tre Manders, Greg Maybury and Delray Rawlins. David Hemp and Joshua Gilbert are unavailable for the training tour.

ICC Americas High Performance Officer, Andy Pick and former first class cricketer and Level 4 coach, Chris Brown to conduct Clinic for senior, U19 and BCBNA players
The BCB is pleased to confirm that Andy Pick, ICC Americas High Performance Officer, will be in Bermuda February 11 - 14 to conduct a four-day training camp for the National Team, Under 19 team and BCB National Academy (BCBNA) squad members. He will be joined by Chris Brown, a Level 4 coach and former first class cricketer.

REGISTRATION OPEN - 2013 FREE PEE WEE CRICKET!
The Bermuda Cricket Board is pleased to announce that the FREE Pee Wee 'Have-a-go' Cricket Program for children ages 5 - 7 will take place at Berkeley Institute Gym every Saturday in March, starting on March 2 and finishing on March 30, 2012.

BCUA Announces Umpiring Course
Umpiring Cricket is an excellent way to start or expand your involvement within the sporting community. It provides the opportunity to challenge yourself, both physically and mentally. Through Umpiring, you can develop many skills that have an application in areas other than Cricket. These skills include the ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate leadership, develop integrity and unbiased problem solving skills. BCB issues Junior Player in Senior Cricket Guidelines
In order to ensure the safety of all under-age players competing in Open Age Cricket, the Bermuda Cricket Board has issued the attached guidelines. Making the step up from junior to open age group cricket is a significant event in any player's cricket experience and these guidelines are now in place to help clubs decide when to select young players in open age group cricket and how best to help their cricketing development.

BCB National Academy Scholarship and UK Boarding School Education Seminar
The BCB recently conducted a UK School Scholarship Seminar for all parents of National Academy players aged between ten and sixteen. Ms Kellie Smith, mother of Jordan Smith, presented and advised the parents on the processes of applying for scholarships for UK boarding schools. In September 2012, Jordan Smith (pictured below), obtained a significant scholarship to attend Bromsgrove School in Birmingham for the next four years. Bromsgrove School has an excellent cricket program.

BCBNA is seeking a Fundraising Coordinator Volunteer
The Bermuda Cricket Board is seeking a volunteer Fundraising Coordinator to plan and coordinate the BCB National Academy players and parents (BCBNA) to raise funds for a cricket and cultural awareness tour to the UK in July/August, 2013. The Fundraising Coordinator for the 2013 UK tour will organise and implement a successful fundraising strategy and plan in collaboration with the Marketing Manager and the National Coach. The Coordinator will be responsible for organising the parents and players to develop and implement a fundraising plan and assist in the supervision of the activities (along side the parents and coaches). ICC WCL Div 3 Inspection Update
The BCB is pleased to announce a successful and productive inspection visit of Bermuda by the International Cricket Council (ICC) Development Events Manager, Edward Fitzgibbon. During the visit, potential host venues and practice venues have been inspected and measured against objective criteria used for international ICC events. The BCB is delighted to report that all stakeholders involved in preparation for the world cup qualifying tournament next year have received flying colours.

National Coach Update
The BCB regretfully confirms that David Moore has indicated that, for personal and family reasons, he is not available to continue to work in Bermuda when his current contract expires on March 1, 2013. As an interim measure, until May 6th, 2013 (the completion of World Cricket League Division 3), Arnold Manders will assume National Head Coach duties with Clevie Wade remaining as national assistant coach. David Moore will provide guidance and support to the national team support staff to ensure a seamless transition for the players.

National Program Update
Following an extensive objective process and using the recently published Captaincy criteria, (http://www.bermudacricketboard.com/images/Policies/Captaincy%20CriteriaMay2012.pdf), the BCB Executive are pleased to confirm the appointment of Stephen Outerbridge as National Team Captain in both T20 and 50 overs cricket. Stephen has an extensive cricketing background and has served regularly as vice-captain under previous skipper, David Hemp.
