The Bermuda squad departs on Sunday March 17th in their quest to qualify for the 2014 World T20 in Bangladesh. The regional tournament, held in Florida, will provide two countries an opportunity to compete in the World T20 qualifier in Dubai this November. The Ministry of Community and Cultural Development and the Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] have announced that Gary Fray was recently awarded an ICC Global Development Programme Award for his lifetime of service to cricket in Bermuda.

BCB president Lloyd Fray today confirmed that the BCB has negotiated a 3 month extension to the contract of National Coach David Moore which expired on February 28th.

With only 8 weeks to go before Bermuda host its most prestigious ICC event in history the BCB and its event organizing committee has made solid progress with the many stakeholders to ensuring delivering a world class event.

Mr. Lloyd Fray, President of the BCB, responded to today's misleading Royal Gazette article by stating,

The Bermuda Cricket Board is extremely pleased to announce that Tokio Millennium Re Ltd. is sponsoring the BCB FREE Pee Wee 'Have-a-go' Cricket Program for children ages 5 7. The program takes place at Berkeley Institute Gym every Saturday in March, starting on March 2 and finishing on March 30, 2013.
