Women?s National Cricket Tour The BCB are pleased to announce that the National women?s cricket team is about to embark on its first international tour when they depart for British Colombia, where they will challenge the Canadian women?s team for the right to participate in the Women?s World Cup 2009. This maiden tour will see the Bermudian women compete against the Canadian?s in three One Day games on the 2nd, 4th and 8th of September during an 11 day tour that encompasses 3 training days. Mr. Reginald Pearman is quoted: ?This is an exciting time for cricket in Mr. Allan Douglas, the Women?s coach, had this to add: ?The women have been working very hard in the lead up to this tour so it will be good to see their skills put to test. As this is the first National women?s team, let alone tour, we are still very much in the learning stages and so will use this tour to further implement what they have learnt in the context of an international fixture. I feel confident that the team?s dedication will pay off and that they will come away from the tour with a wealth of vital experience to improve upon.? The women?s team departs from |
