Wally Manders to Umpire in Argentina

The BCB are pleased to announce that Umpire, Mr. Walisfort Manders, President of the Bermuda Cricket Umpires Association (BCUA), has been selected by the ICC to officiate the ICC Americas Division 3 Championship in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Mr. Manders has been an umpire in Bermuda since 1987 and umpired his first international match in Panama, 2003.

Participants of the tournament include: Belize, Turks & Caicos Islands, Brazil, Chile and Peru. The tournament takes place from February 10 - 17,2008.

The winner of the Division 3 Championship will automatically move up to Division 2 and play Bahamas, Panama and Suriname. The winner of Division 2 will get the chance to play Bermuda (the defending champions), Argentina, Canada and the Cayman Islands in the ICC Americas Championship Division 1, scheduled to take place in Florida, June 2008.
