Local Umpires Officiate During Uganda Tour

 

The Bermuda Cricket Board is pleased to announce that they have obtained ICC permission to use local umpires during the upcoming Uganda Tour of Bermuda. The ICC usually appoint a neutral foreign umpire for ICC international matches.

 

The Umpires for the games have been announced as follows:

 

I Shield 4 Day game, Start time 10:30am

Umpires: Roger Dill and Steven Douglas

3^rd Umpire: Anthony Fubler

Match Manger: Lester Harnett

 

50 Over Saturday 22, start time 2:00pm

Umpires: Roger Dill and Steven Douglas

3^rd Umpire: Kent Gibbons

 

50 Over Sunday 23, start time 2:00pm

Umpires: Richard Austin and Anthony Fubler

3^rd Umpire: Roger Dill

 

Twenty20 Monday 24, start time 6:30pm

Umpires: Roger Dill and Steven Douglas

3^rd Umpire: Anthony Fubler

 

 

The opportunity to officiate during Ugandas Tour of Bermuda has been embraced by the Bermuda Cricket Umpires Association. BCB President Reginald Pearman stated, "I would like to congratulate the umpires on their achievement, this is the first time the ICC have not appointed a foreign official and I feel it is a reflection of the quality of officials we have here in Bermuda. I take this opportunity to encourage the public to come to the National Stadium to support our team."
