Kent Gibbons and Anthony Fubler Selected for Chile Tournament

 

The Bermuda Cricket Board would like to congratulate Mr. Kent Gibbons and Mr. Anthony Fubler for their selection to umpire in the upcoming ICC Americas Division 3 tournament in Santiago, Chile. Having secured this opportunity the BCB will be sponsoring the two umpires on their travels to South America.

 

Mr. Fubler and Mr. Gibbons join Lester Harnet, Richard Austin, Roger Dill and Steven Douglas as BCUA umpires on international panels. The duo will fly out to Chile to umpire in games involving Brazil, Chile, Peru and Belize between October 9 and 12.

 

BCB president Reginald Pearman said, "I would like to congratulate Kent Gibbons and Anthony Fubler on their selection to officiate at the ICC Americas Division 3 tournament. It is a reflection of their quality as umpires and their commitment to the sport of cricket. I wish them all the best on their trip to Santiago."

 

Bermuda Cricket Umpires Association president Wallisfort Manders said, "We are extremely proud of both Kent and Anthony. Our constitution insures we train and promote quality persons to the highest level. I believe clubs will produce better players if a member of their club joins our training programme conducted by Roger Dill."
