U8 Sponsors and Schedule

The BCB is extremely pleased to announce that Tokio Millennium Re Ltd. has agreed to sponsor the Tokio Millennium Re 8&Under League for the 2012 season. The 8&Under League starts in April continuing through to June 23 culminating with a League medal presentation for all those involved. The league games are played every Saturday morning at the National Sports Centre from 9:30am-11:30am.

Tokio Millennium Re Ltd. is committed to bettering the lives of children in Bermuda through donations to youth and family services agencies as well as through supporting youth sports. The aim of the BCB youth programs is to provide a clear pathway for players to progress in the sport from the age of 5 through to the senior level.

I am very excited that we are able to support the Bermuda Cricket Board in their upcoming 8&Under league, said Johannes Puetz, Chairman of the Tokio Millennium Re Donations Committee. This enables us to take an active part in the development of our community, as well as giving children a fun and safe sport to enjoy.

On behalf of the Board, I am extremely pleased to announce this new partnership between Tokio Millennium Re and the BCB. The purpose of the 8&U league is to teach the basic skills of cricket while enriching the lives of all of Bermudas children by providing an opportunity to interact with each other in an environment that embraces equality, team spirit and togetherness. Players in the 8&U League learn the basic skills of cricket within a fun and safe setting and are provided with a healthy outlet for their abundant energy.
