The tournament is a round robin format made up of teams from Argentina, Bermuda, Bahamas, Canada, USA and Cayman Islands. The top two teams in this tournament will qualify to compete in the ICC U19 World Cup Global Qualifier scheduled to take place in Ireland in July against eight other teams from four other ICC regions, of which six will qualify for the 2012 ICC U19 World Cup.
