Wayne Jackson, Chairman of the Montpelier Re Foundation stated,

"Once again Montpelier Re Foundation is the proud sponsor of the U19 team.  We feel a civic duty to encourage our young adults to mold themselves into mature young men by setting goals and striving to achieve them.  In the first instance it is a great honor for each of the team members to have been selected from among their peers.  Representing your country as part of the U19 team demands a certain respect from all of us, but it also demands a certain respect from each for the players to all of those who have contributed to making this incredible opportunity available to them.  We all hope that each of the players in the programme will develop all the positive values which will help them to set the foundation from which they will build a lifetime of personal success and become highly regarded members of our community.  We at Montpelier Re Foundation will follow their progress with great interest and we look forward with great anticipation to the successes of the U19 team."

President of the BCB, Mr. Reginald Pearman, has released the following statement,

"Thank you once again to the Montpelier Re Foundation for their continued support of our U19 Programme. The U19s have been training rigorously in preparation for the Championship. They took part in a U19 Elite Easter Camp and have had regular match practice competing in the Premier Division 50 overs league. The week prior to the Championship the team will take part in another camp where they will have regular fielding, batting and bowling sessions. The camp will also focus on improving mental toughness, match strategies, field placement and one entire day will be devoted to team bonding. I am very proud of our U19 team and I look forward to following their progress during the Championship."
