2009 BCB Prize Presentation

 

Friday night saw the BCB mark the end of the 2009 cricket season with their annual prize giving. Also included in this year's prize giving was the awarding of 5 Centenary medals from crickets governing body the International Cricket Council (ICC). These medals are awarded to volunteers who have made significant contributions to the development of cricket.

 

Receiving the ICC Centenary Awards on Friday was current BCB president Mr. Reginald Pearman, and his predecessors The Hon Elvin James JP MP (97-03), Mr. Ed Bailey (84-97) and Alma 'Champ' Hunt (66-84). The work of Wilton Smith was also recognized as his daughter collected his medal.

 

 

 

The Prizes for this year's domestic season got under way after the ICC Centenary Medals had been awarded. They were as follows:
