|
On Monday 15 August the Executive reviewed and ratified the decision of the Technical Committee to disallow the claim by PHC for the points from their match against DRC on 7 August. The committee confirmed that Mr. Stephens had missed eight games under established BCB precedent for calculating disciplinary penalties. Furthermore the Executive decided that with immediate effect disciplinary penalties would be for ALL cricket and be defined by a specific time period.

1. The Cricket Committee has considered the circumstances surrounding the Flatts v Warwick game which was not played and decided that the game should be rescheduled on August 14th.
2. The Somerset v Flatts game has been rescheduled to Saturday August 20th at St. Davids. To accommodate this change the Flatts v Somerset Bridge game scheduled for that day has been moved to Sunday August 21st at White Hill Field.

2011 Elite Player Series Venues

Due to financial restrictions the BCB is unable to afford hosting the Elite Player League (EPL) fixtures at the National Sports Centre and we are exploring the option of putting games at various club grounds. This weekend games will be played at Southampton Rangers.
Saturday 7 May - 10am T20 & 2pm T20
Sunday 8 May - 10am T20 & 2pm T20
The teams will be released tomorrow.

On Saturday April 2 Bermuda XI played Hong Kong XI in a warm up game in Dubai. Hong Kong XI won toss and opted to bat. Hong Kong XI 259-5 from 50 overs. BDA XI 260-4 (David Hemp 94, Dion Stovell 70 and Fiqre Crockwell 40 not out). Today Bermuda XI played Namibia XI. Nambia XI 208 Bermuda XI 108. WCL Division 2 starts Friday with Bermuda v Papua New Guinea.

Bermuda XI played UAE XI in a practice game today in Dubai. UAE won toss and opted to bat. UAE 251-9 from 50 overs (UAE: Arshad Ali 76, Shamnin 46, Saqib Ali 34) (BDA: Malachi Jones 3-35, D Stovell 2-26, I Romaine 2-46). BDA 243-8 (Lionel Cann 73, Chris Foggo 56, Jason Anderson 28. The next practice game v UAE is scheduled to take place on Saturday 2 April.
