The BCB is pleased to announce that Mr. Roger Dill, a local umpire who has been consistently recognised by the ICC over the last 4 years, has been named as a member of the new prestigious international panel of six umpires from ICC Associate and Affiliate countries, of which Bermuda is one of 86 member countries. Nine Countries Share the Americas Regional Awards
The ICC Americas Region announced the regional winners for the ICC Development Program Annual Awards for 2005.
Nine different countries share the awards from the four person panel of judges. The region received a record breaking number of nominations in this the fourth year since the awards were instituted.

Gus Logie strolled into Bermuda Cricket Board?s headquarters on Cedar Avenue having just returned from yet another lunch time session with his national squad.
With preparation for the upcoming tour to Dubai in full swing, the players have been forced to squeeze in a net whenever they can get time off work ? making Logie a hugely busy man as he rushes back and forth between his office and the National Sports Centre to accommodate their varied training needs.

Bermuda cricket is $100,000 richer this morning following yesterday?s fleeting visit by billionaire Texan financier Allen Stanford.
Flying in on his private jet and accompanied by four West Indian cricket greats in Lance Gibbs, Andy Roberts, Ian Bishop and Richie Richardson, Stanford was here to launch his new Stanford 20/20 tournament which begins in late July in Antigua and to outline his broad vision for the urgent regeneration of West Indian cricket.

Bermuda faces one-day dilemma

It is ?unlikely? Bermuda will have the facilities to host One-Day Internationals before the cricket World Cup next year, Sports Minister Dale Butler admitted yesterday.
Since the national team?s qualification for cricket?s ultimate limited over showpiece, Bermuda Cricket Board have made no secret of their desire to play as many official ODIs and first class games on local soil as possible.
