Belco Cup Raises cash for Local Charities
|
At the Belco Cup prize giving today, cheques were donated to STAR (Supportive Therapy for AIDs Persons and their Relatives) - all money received at the gate was given to them which was $520 and BELCO matched this. Then Dwayne Leverock got 5 wickets and so chose to donate the $500 to the charity of his choice which was Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

Sluggo leads Rangers to glory

A masterful piece of bowling by Dwayne (Sluggo) Leverock inspired defending champions Southampton Rangers to their third successive Belco Cup triumph against Young Men's Social Club at Lords.
Leverock, whose rotund frame made him a cricketing icon at the 2007 World Cup, captured a five-wicket haul to ensure Social Club never seriously looked like prising the much-coveted cup from Rangers' vice-like grip.

Rangers bid to retain Belco Cup

Premier Division outfit Southampton Rangers will be striving to retain their Belco Cup crown for the third successive year when the Island?s top four clubs battle for supremacy next weekend.
Rangers, who lifted the inaugural trophy in 2003, will be defending their much coveted title against Flatts at Lords.
While the 2006 beaten finalist?s St David?s will take on Young Men?s Social Club at Somerset Cricket Club.

National level assessment & fun day

The Bermuda Cricket Board cordially invites all persons interested in representing Bermuda at the National level to a skills/assessment/fun day (program enclosed). The invitation is open to all; players, coaches, administrators, sponsors and anyone involved in cricket in Bermuda.
The current National Team coach and players will be in attendance for photos and autographs.
There will be an opportunity to view video analysis; participate in a skills competition and assessment. Information on the way forward for Bermuda cricket will be shared with those in attendance.
