David Moore, National Coach stated, "It is very exciting that Bermuda has been given the opportunity to host the MCC during this tour. Our teams not only have the opportunity to play against these current and former first class cricketers but to learn from speaking to them and observing how they play and prepare. Our BCB National Academy squads will also have the opportunity to attend coaching classes with the MCC players. Whenever you have a chance to spend time with experienced players there is always something to learn."

Coach Moore continued, "This tour comes at an ideal time for our preparation for the ICC World T20 Qualifiers in Dubai in March next year as well as the lead up to our quest to regain our Division 2 status and eventual promotion to Division 1 in 2013. It is a great opportunity for players to present themselves for selection and make themselves a permanent member of the squad vying for the final team in 2012 and 2013."

President, Reginald Pearman stated, "I am excited to welcome back to Bermuda MCC who have been regular visitors in the past. The squad will provide international caliber opposition for our national team. I am especially pleased to greet Sir Geoffrey Boycott OBE in his capacity as MCC Ambassador for the tour after coming to Bermuda many years ago as a player. I would encourage all of Bermuda to come out and support our team in what promises to be some very exciting cricket."
