The BCB strongly deplore the acts of violence and player indiscipline that occurred at a number of games on Sunday 12 July, 2009. The BCUA have forwarded detailed reports of these incidents and based on the contents, a number of players have been summonsed to hearings of the BCB's Disciplinary Committee scheduled for Mon/Tues next week - see below. 

The BCB strongly urge all clubs and captains to ensure that players conduct themselves in accordance with the BCB Code of Conduct and to take all steps to ensure that the safety of all players, match officials and spectators are treated to the utmost priority.

The BCB can confirm that the following Disciplinary Hearings have been scheduled to take place at the Cricket Board office:

Treadwell Gibbons Jnr. (Western Stars S.C) - Monday 20 July, 6.00pm

Level 4 - three counts of physical assault of another player, umpire, referee, official or spectator.

Level 2 - two counts of using language that is offensive, obscene or of a generally insulting nature to an umpire, player or spectator.

Level 1 - one count of abuse of ground equipment.

Detroy Smith (YMSC) - Monday 20 July 6.45pm

Level 4 - one count of act of violence on the field of play.

Level 4 - one count of physical assault of an umpire.

Level 3 - four counts of intimidation of an umpire by language or conduct.

Level 2 - one count of showing serious dissent of an umpire's decision by action or verbal abuse.

Level 2 - one count of use of language that is obscene, offensive or of a generally insulting nature to an umpire.

Level 4 - one count of physical assault of another player, umpire, referee or spectator.

Level 3 - one count of a threat of assault on another player, official or spectator.

Level 3 - two counts of threat of assault of another player.

Level 1 - one count of showing dissent at umpire's decision by action or verbal abuse.

Justin Robinson (Western Stars S.C) - Tuesday 21 July 6.20pm

Level 2 - one count of using language that is obscene, offensive or generally insulting to another player.

Level 2 - one breach of code, as captain of the team, allowing his players to bring the game into disrepute and causing abandonment of the game by failing to control his team.

Calvin Dill (Bailey's Bay C.C) - Tuesday 21 July 6.40pm

Level 2 - two counts of deliberate and malicious distraction or obstruction in the field of play.

Level 2 - two counts of using language that is obscene, offensive or of an insulting nature to an umpire.

Chris Fleming (Leg Trappers C.C) - Tuesday 21 July 7.00pm

Level 2 - one count of using language that is obscene, offensive or of a generally insulting nature to another player.

Mackie Crane (Devonshire Rec.) - Tuesday 21 July 7.15pm

Level 4 - one count of physical assault of an umpire.

Kevin Hurdle (YMSC) - Tuesday 21 July 7.30pm

Level 2 - one breach of code that, as captain of the team, allowing his player to bring the game into disrepute.
