The top three countries stay ahead as they all claim their 2nd victory of the tournament
The USA catch their target with ease while Canada and Bermuda both win in reduced over matches due to soggy conditions
In the first game of the day the Cayman Islands were invited to bat and found runs as hard to come by as they had on day 1. Steve Gordon top scored with 26 and Abali Hollott added 19 as they managed only two boundaries in a score of 72 all out in the last over. Timroy Allen bowled with pace and discipline to pick up 4-8.
A fine opening spell by Kervin Ebanks saw the two USA batters back in the pavilion with only 8 on the board, Ebanks bowled with pace and swing to finish with 2-7. After that Nadkarni and Mishra steadied the ship and both passed 25 as the USA made their target without losing any more wickets and with over 6 overs to spare.
Brief scores:
Cayman Islands 72 all out from 19.4 overs (Gordon 26; Allen 4-8) USA 73-2, 13.5 overs (Mishra 28 not out, Nadkarni 26; Ebanks 2-7)
Bermuda won the toss and decided to bat first. Openers Hemp and Cann shared an opening partnership of 93 before Cann went for 63 and then Hemp followed for 50. The final score was 160-4 from the 20 overs. The Suriname bowlers did stem the flow in the latter part of the innings as a 200 score originally looked to be on the cards.
Following an extended break between innings due to the rain, Suriname was set a revised target of 50 from 5 overs. They were unable to muster enough big hits although were never out of it until the last couple of balls, they finished on 41-3.
Brief scores:
Bermuda 154-6, 20 overs (Cann 63, Hemp 50; Dudnath 2-40) Suriname 41-3, 5 overs (Gokoel 18 not out; O?Brien 2-5)
The weather again reduced the third game of the day to 8 overs per side and Canada asked Argentina to bat first. Ferguson top scored with 22, but 4 run outs slowed the scoring down and Argentina closed on 54-8.
In reply Canada lost a wicket to the first ball of the innings but from then on it was a comfortable victory, reaching their target for the loss of 1 wicket in the 8th over with Hansra and Limbada both playing shots around the wicket.
Argentina 54-8, 8 overs (Ferguson 22) Canada 55-1, 7.1overs (Hansra 30 not out, Limbada 25 not out)
Day three will see the Cayman Islands take on Suriname, USA face Argentina and Canada against Bermuda in the day night match.
