2010 BCB All Star Series Schedule and Teams Announced
The Bermuda Cricket Board is pleased to announce the schedule and teams for Bermuda's first All Star Series. The teams have been named after former greats of Bermuda cricket Alma "Champ" Hunt, Calvin "Bummy" Symonds, Mackie Simmons and Clarence Parfitt. The All Star Series will take place at the National Sports Centre, North Field. Players are asked to arrive at 8.45am on October 2 and 3rd and to wear their club uniforms and training gear. All Star Series Schedule One day game Saturday 2nd October, 2010 Commencing 10am Hunts XI v Symonds XI One day game Sunday 3rd October, 2010 Commencing 10am Simmons XI v Parfitt XI T20 games Saturday 9th October 2010 Commencing at 10am Symonds XI v Simmons XI Commencing at 2pm Hunts XI v Parfitt XI T20 games Commencing at 10am Parfitt XI v SymondsXI Commencing at 2pm Hunts XI v Simmons XI National Coach, "I am extremely pleased with the response for the inaugural All Star Series. It is important that these players realize that each and every one of them are now on the radar for National commitment and the opportunity to show their wares is vital for future selection. The selection of Captains and Vice Captains reflects the next generation of Bermuda's future leaders in cricket." Coach Moore continued, "I am also pleased with the quality of the coaching staff that has been bought together for this tournament. I am confident that the players will benefit greatly from the tutelage and guidance of these four coaches." Coach Moore concluded, "With the support of the BCB, players, coaches, administrators and potential sponsors, I hope that this series will be the forerunner to an elite player's league that will commence in the 2011 season.
