BCB Announces the resignation of Allen Richardson

 

 

It is with regret that the BCB officially announce that Allen Richardson, 1st Vice-President has resigned his position with immediate effect. In his letter to the Board Allen has expressed a willingness to assist on any committee or project that may be required in the future.

 

Lloyd Fray, President of the BCB said: "Allen has made an enormous contribution to the international and domestic game. Since joining the Board in 2005 as 2nd Vice-President, Allen has worked tirelessly to improve the standards of cricket and has played a major role in the transition of the BCB in to a world-class, internationally acclaimed model of best practice. During his tenure the Bermuda National Senior team has qualified for the 2007 Cricket World Cup, the National U19 qualified for the 2008 U19 Cricket World Cup, the BCB has been certified by the National Standards Committee as operating at a best governance level. Allen was elected as 1st Vice President in 2008 and has spear-headed the Technical/Cricket Committee, was Chairman of the Umpire Liaison Committee in addition to assisting on many other important projects."

 

"Allen's expertise and experience will be greatly missed and a certainly hope that he will play a continuing role in supporting our great sport."

 

Reginald Pearman, former President of the Bermuda Cricket Board expressed his gratitude for the many years of service to the game. "I thank Allen for his contribution and wish him and his family all the best for the future."
